Here’s a list of 5 alarm puzzle apps for Android which can come in handy if you’re having problems waking up in the morning using the regular alarm clock apps that your phone has. Puzzle alarm clocks, for those who are unfamiliar with them, won’t allow you to dismiss an alarm just like that. You’ll first have to solve either math problems, puzzles or even captchas.
Lets see what apps are available in the Android Play store.
Alarm Puzzle Clock
Alarm Puzzle Clock works like any other alarm clock app. After you run it and tap on the add alarm button, you can start setting up the time and date when you’d like the alarm to activate.
Where things start looking a bit more differently is in the dismiss mode selection. That’s what you can see on the image above. You can turn off the alarm with math puzzles, captchas, shaking, image puzzles or a game of memorize/pick cards. After selecting the puzzle type you can also select its difficulty.

Puzzle Alarm Clock FREE
Puzzle Alarm Clock FREE has practically the same workflow and the selection of puzzle alarms like Alarm Puzzle Clock.
The only thing that’s different is how alarms are setup. Image above shows puzzle alarm setup, but standard types of alarms are also available. Available puzzle alarms include color and shape match up, memory card game, math equations and captchas.

Alarm Puzzle
Next alarm puzzle app that we’re gonna be talking about instead of offering lots of options focuses on simplicity.
When setting up an alarm you’re offered with three different types of alarms that you can setup, depending on what kind of sleeper you are. If you don’t have problems waking up, use Feather mode. That’s the mode where alarm clock puzzles are simple sequence puzzles. Heavy sleepers will have to use one of the other two, where for example the Rock mode will use more complicated Simon puzzles.

Alarm Clock Xtreme Free
Alarm Clock Xtreme Free is the alarm clock that yours truly uses. Technically speaking it doesn’t have puzzles, but it does have math problems and games of varying difficulty that you can use to turn off the alarm.
You can also use captchas or setup an alarm so that you turn it off by shaking the device, but if you really are a heavy sleeper don’t use that one, because shaking your phone isn’t enough to wake you up in the morning, trust me.
Alarm Clock Plus
Alarm Clock Plus is a another standard puzzle alarm clock app that doesn’t have a lot of different puzzles that you can use when setting up alarms.
In fact it only offers math problems for you to use as an alarm dismiss method. Despite that it’s still a great app, which you can use to make sure that you wake up on time.
