Alphabeat is a free online text to music converter to create music beats from alphabets. You can use it to create great music beats by simply typing anything you want. It will fetch the alphabets which you have typed and then it will combine the predefined sounds associated with each alphabet into a complete track of music beats. You can also change the sound of each alphabet by adjusting various parameters including duration, rest, sample, volume, release, and attack. Not only that, it even allows you to add more elements to the sound of the alphabets like Delay, Reverb, Distortion, Flanger, Compressor, StereoPanner, etc. The intensity of these elements can also be modified manually.
There are many advanced music makers available (like Music Maker by Magix) which can also be used to create music beats. But, if you’re looking for something very simple to create music beats, then using this text to music converter is probably one of the best options for you. This online music maker is actually inspired by Kyle Stetz’s TypeDrummer.
How to Create Music Beats by Converting Text to Music:
To get started, simply visit the homepage of Alphabeat and there you will see a text input field along with a keyboard. On the keyboard, all the alphabets from A to Z will be visible along with the spacebar. Actually, this keyboard is not for typing and instead, you can use it to modify the sound of each alphabet.
Do note that, it only supports alphabets from A to Z and the spacebar, which means you cannot use numbers or special characters to create music beats.
Now, to start converting text to music, the first thing you would need to do is type anything in the text input field. As soon as you do that, simply click on the “Play” button at the top right corner to convert the text into music beats and listen to it.
It will use the predefined sound of each alphabet which you have typed and combine them together into a fully fledged music beat. Apart from listening to the music beats, you can also share it with others by sharing the URL which you will get from the “Copy Share URL” option at the top.
Now, let’s say you want to change the sound of any alphabet, then simply click on the alphabet visible on the online keyboard. Once you do that, a popup window will appear with various parameters including Rest, Duration, Sample, Volume, Release, and Attack. You can simply drag the slider associated with each parameter to change the sound of the alphabet as you desire.
In the same manner, you can change the sound effect of any alphabet you want. This online text to music converter also allows you to add some other additional elements to the sound of the alphabets. You can add Delay, DubDelay, PingPongDelay, Distortion, Quadrafuzz, Flanger, Compressor, LowPassFilter, HighPassFilter, StereoPanner, Reverb, Ring Modulator, and Tremolo.
When you’re done adding additional elements, you can also adjust their intensity by adjusting the associated attributes. For each element, the attributes may differ. As an example, you can see in the below image that the “Delay” element has three attributes named Feedback, Time, and Mix.
Closing Words:
Alphabeat is pretty interesting and unique music maker which can help you make simple music beats by converting text into music. Personally, I like it as apart from the predefined sounds of alphabets it also lets you modify the sound of each alphabet in any way you want. Making music beats has never been easier.
