Noisetab is a free Chrome extension to show real-time audio visualization of any audio source in new tab page. Based on the audio source and audio level, the audio visualization is visible in each new tab which changes in real-time. Whether audio is coming from mic, speakers, headphone, etc., it shows live audio visualization in new tab of Chrome browser.
By default, audio visualization type is set as Spectrum Analyzer. You can change default visualization type to Circular or Oscilloscope. So you have three different audio visualizers to show on new tab of Google Chrome.

How To Show Real-Time Audio Visualization of Audio Source In New Tab Page of Chrome?
This extension is very simple and the best part is that there are no settings. You can go to its homepage and then install it on your Chrome browser.
After installation, when you open a new tab page, it will ask permission to Use your microphone. You can grant permission using the Allow button.
After that, this extension will start working and will show Spectrum Analyzer type audio visualization for the current audio source. You can change the audio visualization type using the drop down menu available on the bottom right corner of new tab page. Here you will see that Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, and Circular visualization types are available. For me, Circular audio type didn’t work, but you should try all the three types.
Whenever there is some noise or audio, the new tab page will show audio visualization for that audio.
When you will change the audio source, then a pop-up window will open automatically prompting you to select the type of audio source. This will help this extension work correctly for the connected audio device and show audio visualizations.

The Verdict:
The extension doesn’t seem to have any serious purpose. Still, the work for which it is developed is done by the extension quite well. Whenever you want to see the audio visualization of your connected audio device in new tab page of Chrome, this extension will be useful. Install and forget it. It will automatically do its job and will show audio visualization in real-time.
