Gramara is currently available as a web-app that you can access on the Gramara website. The website gives you a quick intro to the tool from where you can start using the tool for free. To do that, you do have to create an account first. You can either signup using your Google account or use an email address to create an account.
On the welcome screen, it asks you to pick your pace in the English language. The editor shows 3 levels of English proficiency and you can pick that suits your pace in the language. You can change this setting anytime from the settings. After that, it opens the editor where you can write to get corrections.
At the top, there are options to pick writing style but this is a paid feature. Free users are stuck with the default style which does everything while keeping the tone fluent and clear.
Unlike other grammar checkers, this tool takes the whole sentence and analyze it for correction. On the right side, it offers you multiple suggestions for correctness and clarity. For that last sentence in the screenshot above, it offers four suggestions. You can select a suggestions that you feel confident with and apply it to your writer.
Here is a comparison of this tool against another popular grammar checker tool Grammarly. Both tools have the same content. As you can see, Grammarly picks the grammatically errors only. It totally ignores some of these suggestions offered by Gramara.
