This tutorial covers how to create flowcharts just by adding text. You need to add details like the names and the flowchart takes the shape automatically. The boxes and arrows are pre-added and you can also add more boxes by copy and pasting the already available text or code or adding the code by yourself. The flowchart can also be downloaded to PC. So, you will own the flowchart created by you.
To create flowcharts just by adding the text, I am using a free service or editor here, which is known as “Mermaid Live Editor“. It comes with a code box where some pre-added content is available. Based on that content, a flowchart is visible there. You can make changes in the code and add your own code to generate the flowchart as per your requirements.
In the screenshot above, you can see that a flowchart is visible on the interface of this service.
How to Create Flowcharts just By Adding Text with This Free Online Live Editor?
Using this live code editor is extremely simple. It doesn’t require any sign-up or other types of details. Open its homepage. You can open that page using the link given at the end of this review.
On the left side of its homepage or interface, there is a code box. Use that box to enter the code as per your wish. On the right part, you will see the flowchart preview.
Just intelligently add text and code and generate your flowchart.
Once the flowchart is ready, use Download SVG option, and save it to your PC. It also lets you share the flowchart with others by using the Link to View option.
The Conclusion:
There are many other flowchart maker websites (check the list) and software already available to create a good flowchart, but this service has come with a very simple way to generate the flowcharts. It is a bit similar to some Markdown editors where you add content in Markdown formatting and get the output in real-time. The difference between such tools and this service is that it lets you write the code and get the output flowchart in real-time. You may try it.
