Control Music Playback from Any Tab of the Browser with This Free Extension
Since the extension is available for both the browsers; Chrome and Firefox, you can install the extension for the browser you use most.
In this article, I’ll discuss this extension for the Chrome browser only. So the very first step is to install the iShuffle extension in your Chrome browser.
Once the extension is added, you will notice a small widget on the bottom left. The widget appears only while you use the tab in the Chrome browser.
Now in order to play music, you will have to log in to your music player account so that you can hit your playlist. And for that, you need to select the music platform. As I mentioned in the beginning, the extension supports Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, and Amazon Music Media Player, so, you can select one of them. To do that, you can click the down arrow button that has the default Spotify music player set.
Clicking on the Spotify/down arrow, you will see other music services. At this point, you can choose one of the services you want to start with. The logo of the selected music appears with the down arrow. You can now click the play button.
Here, the extension takes you to the page where you can browse music. You can log in to view your own created playlists. Similarly, you can do with other music platforms. Just select the music player and hit the play button to log in.
After this, you can listen to your favorite music switching music platforms. This is how you can control music playback from any tab of the browser. If you find the widget annoying at the time, you can hide it as well.
