How Cold Turkey Works to Temporarily Block Facebook, Twitter or Any Other Website?
- To start blocking the websites, you first need to download Cold Turkey. It can be downloaded easily from its homepage. Here, you need to click on the Download Now button. After clicking this button, download will start.
- Now run the setup file of Cold Turkey and follow the steps in installation pop-up window. After completing the installation, open it from the available desktop shortcut.
- In main window of Cold Turkey, you will find two options, Popular Sites and Custom Sites.
- For blocking the Popular Sites, select the desired sites from the available list of Popular Sites which you want to block, as you can see in the below screenshot.
- And for blocking sites by yourself, click on Custom Sites option, and enter the name of website which you want to block, and hit the Add button. If you wish, you can also remove a particular website by selecting a website and then clicking on the available Remove button.
- In addition, you can also import files from your system to block a specific website.
- Once you have selected the websites which you want to block, come to step two in which you have to fill the Date and Time until when you want to block the website(s).
- You can block a website for maximum 7 days in free version of Cold Turkey, if you want to block websites for more days and want to get some more features, you need to upgrade to the paid edition of Cold Turkey.
- After filling the desired date and time, come to step three and hit the Go Cold Turkey! button.
- Still you have a last chance to think again, if you don’t wish to block websites select the Opps! I made a boo boo button to cancel the blocking. And if you are sure enough, then Hit the Go Cold Turkey! button and it is done. Now the selected website(s) are blocked for specified date and time.
- Note: It is very difficult to uninstall or remove Cold Turkey, if something wrong happens then go to the FAQ’s page of this software.
