Watchlist is a free Windows 8 TV Show reminder app. Mark your favorite shows, seen, unseen series, and get recommendations; based on ratings using this app. Do note that this app provides only reminder / recommendation service; it does not provides links to watch TV shows online.
Watchlist is available in the Entertainment section of Windows Store. This is a TV show reminder app and recommendation app. It lets you rate TV shows, and based on your ratings, it shows names of other TV shows that you might like.
You can also view tweets about TV shows. Search for your favorite TV show list and episodes list; using this Windows 8 TV show reminder app. This app is basically an organizer for marking seen and unseen TV Shows; but not for watching TV Shows.

Watchlist is a free Windows 8 TV Show reminder app. Just track your favorite TV shows list and get recommendations based on ratings. Find more details about TV shows and upcoming shows using this Windows 8 app. Even if you don’t find any TV show’s name in the list, just search for it in the app itself and you will find it.
The Watchlist app interface looks like shown in above screenshot. There are only two sections in this app: Favorites and Recommended.
- Favorites: This section shows the TV shows list, that you have marked as your favorite. I will explain how to mark favorites in the following sections.
- Recommended: In recommended section you will find TV shows list that are most popular; depending on the ratings.
As soon as I launched the app, I saw this notification (shown below). Then I locked my Windows 8 Screen and found the image below it. The app is indicating that, I have more than 99 episodes to watch (from the shows that I have marked as my favorites).
So, to access more options like: unseen episodes, search shows, share watchlists, and settings options, just right click on the home screen of the app.
- Unseen episodes: In unseen episodes, you can view the list of episodes of the favorite shows that you have marked.
- Search Shows: In search shows you can search for TV shows, that you want to mark as favorite and get reminders for (as seen in below screenshot).
- Share Watchlists: Share watchlists information through mail.
- Settings: In settings you can access various options like notifications, refresh background image, etc. You can subscribe to feeds also.

How To Install Watchlist:
Open this link in Internet Explorer of Windows 8. Then view the app in Windows store and install it from there. Mark your favorite shows and get reminders on your start screen and lock screen.
