Preview all installed fonts using this Windows 8 fonts preview app:
The app has simple and straightforward purpose, which is to help you choose the best font for your text. It’s quite hard in most text editors to preview and decide which font will look best. Usually, the process in the text editors is quite cumbersome. The only way is to apply different fonts on the parts of texts. And if you didn’t like it, you have to change again. This is quite a tiring and time-consuming process. This Windows 8 fonts preview app cuts all the clutter, and allows you to preview multiple desired fonts together in the same screen, simultaneously.
This is a pretty good feature, because now there’s no need to switch to different screens, just to view the previews. The app automatically detects all the installed fonts in your Windows 8 device, and lists them at the left side of the screen. All you have to do is, type the text in the text box at the top; choose desired font size, and bold or italicize the text by clicking on respective buttons. And then simply, click on the desired font styles present on the left. The app then shows all selected fonts in the center of screen. If you haven’t selected any of the fonts on the left, then the app shows the preview of all fonts, along with font name. Simply uncheck the unwanted fonts and filter the fonts, until you zero down to a font you like.
The app also provides an option to change the font color. Simply, click on Font color button on the screen, and you’ll get sliders, using which you can change the color. Once you find the desired font then, you can use it in your content.
