Kaizena is free web app used for feedback and teaching between teachers and students. As its name suggests, this application helps students improve themselves in their lessons with short notes, skill points, and the teacher’s remarks. In fact, with a Google Drive integration and voice messages, it can be used also as a teaching platform other than a feedback application. Teachers can combine students of similar capabilities in the same group to make the class more manageable. Lessons can be added in the form of notes and videos and shared between students. Kaizena will also provide you notifications if something new comes up.
If you look around, you will found a lot of web applications which enable online teaching. But not many integrate the idea of tracking students’ improvement like Kaizena has. Since most students feel shy to discuss their problems, Kaizena provides private chat to help them express their lesson doubts. Students can also collaborate with each other and share important stuff. Kaizena is a completely free educational web app where you don’t have to worry about limited trial days or restricted features.

How to Use Kaizena as a Teacher
When Teachers log onto Kaizena, they’ll find 3 main parts that make up this free educational app. They are namely: Groups, Lessons and Skills. They can be accessed from the green panel at the left.
Users can make a group by clicking the group icon on the left. A group code will appear that you can share with students, which they will use to join with their account. In the group there is a list of students you can chat with. Click on their name to interact with them. At the bottom you can post simple comments along with many other elements. Files can be uploaded directly from your computer as well as linked from Google Drive.
To let your students know how well they are developing a particular skill, you can award them an achievement of that certain level of that skill. So if your student has improved in grammar, enter a skill name and enter the number of points he/she deserves. You can award a maximum of 4 points in a skill. New skills can be added from the skills tab on the green panel at the left.
Short lessons can be added by switching to Lessons on the comment box and selecting the desired lesson. But first you need to add a lesson in the Lesson tab. Go to the lesson tab and click Add New Lesson to do that. You can enter text-based content as well as links to resources and videos.Teachers can also broadcast messages and talk to all the students of the group in a separate channel.
