Vhoto is a free iPhone camera app to extract photos from videos. You must be using various camera apps or even high quality cameras to get that perfect click but as you know, its not that easy to get one because of numerous uncontrollable reasons like shake while clicking or the object getting out of focus etc. But with the Vhoto iPhone camera app, you don’t need to worry about all this. You only need to shoot a video using the Vhoto app or you can even upload an existing one. The app automatically looks for the best photos hidden inside the video and presents them in front of you.
You can choose the one you like and edit them with different effects and filters. The app also has its own social community where you can share your best looking photos, view the photos uploaded by others, and even follow other users. You can get the free Vhoto iPhone camera app either by searching on the iTunes App Store or by clicking on link given at the end of this review. You need to have an account with the app before you can start using it. When you have got yourself registered, the app automatically launches your iPhone’s camera. If you want to shoot a new video then you can shoot it but if you want to import any photo from the library, then tap on the icon at the extreme left on top.
After shooting or uploading the video, tap on the Extract Photos option to start the process of extracting the photos. The app will show you the progress bar at top and once it is finished, you can preview all the photos available. You need to scroll upwards to check all the photos.
If you like any of the photo then simply tap on it to magnify it and reveal the photo editing options. There are following editing options available: Effects, Contrast, Exposure, Sharpen, Saturation, Rotate, and Mirror Effect. Tap on any of the options to apply that edit to the photo. On selecting any option, you will get some more tools which will help you in editing the photo make it look perfect. When you are satisfied with the photo, just save it or share it.
Social Community Of Vhoto iPhone Camera App:
Vhoto also has its own social community where users uploads their photos. You can also like, comment, and share the photos uploaded by others and even follow the user. To view the social community of this app, tap on the icon at top left to reveal left navigation pane. Here, you will find following options: My Profile, My Follows, Discover, Local, and My Hashtags.
- My Profile: You can manage your profile from here with ease.
- My Follows: Check the users followed by you.
- Discover: View the photos uploaded by others. Sort them on the basis of Popular or Most Recent.
- Local: Look for the photos from the users around your location.
- My Hashtags: View photos which are sorted on the basis of hashtags used by the users followed by you.
There is also a Settings icon at top right in this navigation pane which lets you set the preferences for your account with the app. From here, You can change password, find friends, connect Facebook and Twitter account, Set privacy settings, and also logout of your account.

Final Verdict:
Vhoto is one of those iPhone camera apps which perform exactly the same function as stated by their developer on the app’s description page. I am very much impressed with the app as it really helped me in extracting the best photos from various videos in my collection.
The only disadvantage is that the app picks the best photos for you from the video. It doesn’t show the photos frame by frame like in a timeline so you can pick which frame you want to take as a photo. This app only lets you pick photos which the app selected for you. You can try Image Grab free software, in case you want to choose photos in a frame by frame method.
The social community of the app is also good which can help you in making some new friends or just discover some really amazing and unique pics. This app is definitely worth a try.
