Interactive Map of Middle Earth to Explore Places from LOTR
This interactive map of Middle Earth covers both books by J.R.R. Tolkein, The Hobbit and Lord Of The Rings. It covers all the places, mountains, and paths and highlights selected item or information on the map.
On the right side of the map, you get the following options to explore the map:

- Paths
- Events
Let’s covers each of these in details.
Search Map
The Search option is to find a particular location on the map. Simply tap this option and type the location from the books which you want to find and press Enter. This highlights the respective location on the map and shows its name along with an option to read more about that place.
Timelines
The Timelines option lists all the important timelines from the story in reverse chronological order. It starts from Forth Age to Third Age, Second Age, and all the way back to Years of the Trees. If a timeline has a place mentioned in it, you can just tap on that to view the place on the map.
Places
The Places section covers all the important places mentioned in the books. From this section, you can either view places by types or all the places on the map. Here is a list of options you for place types that you can choose:

This map uses color codes to highlights the same type of places to make them easily distinguishable from the other types.
Paths
The Paths section covers the path taken by the various famous characters from the books like the path taken Frodo and Sam from Hobbiton to Mordor. It covers the path from both books.
