doPublicity Digital Signage is a free application which you can use to turn your computer into a full-fledged promotional tool, so that it can help out during marketing campaigns, or anywhere else where you need to share information with people or promote your products and services. doPublicity acts as a infomercial player, and it can be used by pretty much anyone in need of promotion.
What you see on the image above is the default screen of doPublicity, the free version. Users of the commercial version will see the same thing, only difference is that some of the features like direct content editing and startup settings are not enabled, but even without them, there’s a lot offered by doPublicity:

Creating and displaying promotions with doPublicity
Content or promotional material has to be created in some other program and then loaded into doPublicity, like we already mentioned, free version doesn’t support direct editing.
First step will present you with the window that you can see above. First option, Template Based Content isn’t available in the free version, this would be direct editing, but the second two are. With the second two options you can load your own videos, images, and even entire websites to promote your goods and services. This is an example of doPublicity’s promotional window:
This type of promotion is perfect for restaurant owners, you can create animations where house specials are displayed and then use doPublicity to play the promotion to your visitors. Websites can also be promoted, select Web Page when you’re Adding Content, enter the address of the website that you want to display and doPublicity will do the rest.
You can schedule several different promotions, do this by opening up the Playlist Setup tab. Each promotion can have it’s own start date, duration and end date with playlist ordering being there so that you can select which campaign will be played first. After everything is setup, click Run Display and doPublicity will start the designated campaigns at designated times.
