Watermarking photos using this free Windows 8 digital watermark app:
This Windows 8 digital watermark app is very easy to work with. It has got good UI. All the buttons are pretty much self explanatory. I liked the fact that in case, if you need any help for using the app, there’s this Help button on almost top right side of the screen. Click on it and you’ll get the step by step instructions with good graphics (boundary marks).
It is a single screen app. Therefore, there’s no hassle of jumping between multiple screens. The app screen is pretty well laid out. The buttons to import images and clearing the image container box are at top left side of screen. All the watermark configuration buttons are at the right side of the screen. Rest of the screen is covered by image container box, which contains the photos that are to be watermarked.
The concept with which the app is made is really good. The app lets you add different watermark on images separately and then apply different watermark settings. This is a feature which I liked the most about the app. In order to do that, click on the requisite image on the image container. Doing this makes that particular image cover the whole image container area. Now, uncheck all the Global check boxes and then, apply the watermark that you want to put on the photo with it’s requisite properties/settings. It’s the global check box option, which makes the watermark to be applied on all the imported photos; and unchecking it removes this effect.
Once you are done with setting up all different watermarks, then, you can process watermarking all the photos at one single time, with one single click on Render Button. This is the other feature to like about this Windows 8 digital watermark app. Also the app keeps the image quality the same after watermarking images. Following is a screenshot of finished watermark.
Besides that you can also apply same textual or photo watermark on multiple photos and start watermarking in batch. The app gives you different fonts to choose. There’s no limit to the text characters. You can change the color, font size, opacity, position, and the size of photo that is to be added as watermark. Following is a screenshot of the watermarked image.

Final note:
[WaterMark] is a good Windows 8 digital watermark app. It’s fast, easy, and handy. Though it crashed 2-3 times during my testing. So I didn’t have a smooth experience working with this app. However, it has some really powerful features which makes it a good app to try on. And yes, it did worked well more number of times then it crashed. All in all good app for watermarking images free.
