Update: The app has been renamed to Daily Wallpaper Viewer in Windows 8 Store. The links in this article point to the renamed app.
The app shows you wallpapers in a simple tile based typical Window 8 design. The tags tell you which week the picture belongs to. The most recent images are shown in the left side of the app window and they get older by week’s as you scroll to the right part of the app window. At max the app shows you images that are 3 weeks old and on the left most part of the app window you will be able to see today’s image.
By default the apps region will be Worldwide, if you would like to switch to a specific region then simply click on the region button from the option menu and you will be presented with the list of 10 regions that you can choose from.
When you click on image of your choice you will be presented with the full image as shown below. Here you will be able to see the image clearly and decide if you want to use it or not. To use the app simply right-click on the app and you will be presented with the option menu as seen below. These options will enable you to set the image as the lock screen background and to download the image. Windows 8 does not allow apps to change the desktop background hence you will have to download the image first and then set it as the desktop background via the file explorer.
