How to Hide Online Status on Reddit?
Reddit is available on desktop (website) and phone. On top of that, there is also an older UI of Reddit that some users might prefer over the new UI. So, I’m covering the method to hide Reddit’s online status on all those platforms.
Hide Reddit Online Status on Mobile Phone
Starting with the mobile app, it is straightforward to hide your Reddit online status on the app. Since the Reddit app is almost the same on iOS and Android, the process is similar on both devices. All you have to do is tap on the profile icon from the Reddit home page. This opens your profile options. Right below your Reddit account username, you will see the online status. You can change it to hiding just by tapping on it.
Hide Reddit Online Status on Computer
Coming to the Reddit website, if you are using the new Reddit UI then it is fairly simple to hide your online status. To hide your online status, simply login to your Reddit account. Then click the profile section from the top right corner of the Reddit website. The profile section has a new ‘STATUS’ section where you get a toggle for the online status. You can easily toggle it to hide from there.
Hide Reddit Online Status in Old Reddit UI
If you are using an older Reddit UI, then the process of hiding online status involves a few steps. To do that, first, you have to click on the ‘preferences‘ from the Reddit homepage. This opens various preference options and settings for your Reddit account.
In the preferences, go to the ‘options‘ tab and scroll down looking for ‘privacy options‘. Under ‘privacy options’, look for ‘let other users see my online status‘ and uncheck that option. After that, save the changes and your online status will be hidden from others.
