F.C.E Media Player 2 is a simple, free and portable media player for Windows that lets you play most of the popular audio video formats on its simple interface. You will be able to play almost any popular audio video files such as mp3, ogg, avi, flv, mov, aac, rm, aac, wmv, mp4 etc. Moreover you can also use it as an image viewer as it supports image files too. And it is able to play animated gifs too. So you don’t need to search for an animated gif viewer to open and play your animations. Thus it’s a useful media player which lets you view your images, video files and listen to audio files.
It is very lightweight also and total size of its zip file is 615 kb only. And as it is portable so you can run it just by double-clicking its application file.
There are some shortcomings also in this media player: There are no buttons available to forward or backward currently playing file. Only three main buttons you will find on its interface to play, stop and mute volume. Moreover, drag n drop is also not possible here and. To play a song, you first need to add it on playlist. You can create only a single playlist here. A slider is also present to adjust the volume.
At the bottom right side, you will find basic options such as to enable auto play music, shuffle media files to play them randomly and repeat them. But before playing any song or video file, you first have to add them to playlist which you can save also. Access Playlist tab present at top left side to add media files to play. On Playlist tab, you will find add to playlist tab to add audio video files, delete tab to delete unwanted files and Save Playlist tab to save added files.
Other than this, there are not many options available in this player. Few more options you can find by right-clicking on its main interface, like:
- You can add and configure plugins for this player.
- You can access and view the properties of current playing file.
- Zoom screen accordingly. Such as full screen, 50%, 100% or 200%.
