Besides that, Broadway also searches for the song lyrics on different lyrics sites and shows the found results. It also has a tag editor that allows you to easily edit tags associated with the playing songs. Broadway provides full track information available with the song, and lets you edit or add more to it in easy ways.
Get Broadway for your Windows system:
Broadway is available as a complete freeware and can be downloaded using the link given at the end of this article. The program is developed in Japanese, hence you will see each instruction during the entire installation in Japanese only. Though it’s not tricky to install, it does include some additional tools and add-ons that might get installed in your system automatically. So be careful while installing Broadway.
Download Album Arts, View Lyrics, Edit Tags with Broadway:
After proper installation, when you launch Broadway, all you see is a clean interface divided in various sections. Obviously it will fetch the song data only when it is already playing on iTunes. So what it does basically, is it gets synchronized with iTunes and lets you search, download, and apply album covers, and lyrics (it advertises so, but doesn’t work) to your iTunes music.
As you can see in the first screenshot, the left panel displays the album cover (if exists) and track information of the currently playing track, and the center panel consists of different tabs that displays additional information. By default the last tab gets opened which contains nothing, but the app’s advertisement. Click on Album Art Search tab to search for the matching covers over the web. Results would be displayed from which you can choose the desired cover. Clicking on that particular cover opens it in a quick editor where you can crop the cover (if required) and then apply it to the song, or to the entire album to which the song belongs.
The next tab, Lyrics Search, lets you make a quick search for the song lyrics over different websites and view the results in its window. Though, I could’t find any option to copy or save those lyrics.
The next tab, Lyrics Viewer, displays the song lyrics saved in iTunes. And next to it, there’s a Tag Editor using which you can edit and modify common tags of the playing song, such as name, artist, album, composer, rating, and comments.
Next is the Play List tab, which displays a playlist of your iTunes songs and lets you filter them for dead links, album art, or lyrics search.
The right panel lists the items in a queue, which have been edited by Broadway, and provide more (music) suggestions from web.
The tiny playback header at the top lets you move back and forth between the playlist and the search bar at the top right corner allows you to quickly find the desired track. Besides this bar, there’s an icon that flips out a Settings panel to configure Broadway. This panel include options to add images from local media as covers to the songs, adjust album art search options, change the theme of Broadway, and do lot more. Have a look at the screenshot below for more information on Broadway settings.
