If you are a person who regularly accesses various types of content in Blogs, you may very well know that it is simply not possible to check a large number of blogs regularly, sift out the irrelevant content and read only that what really matters to you. This is precisely where Blogs.fyi can work for you and help to stay on top of the blogs that are important.
All that you need to do is specify the RSS URLs of the blogs that you are interested in. Further, to filter out the unnecessary articles, you can also enter the keywords related to the content that you are particularly interested in. Blogs.fyi also offers email notifications that get activated once a relevant article is published based on the keywords that you have specified.
Blogs.fyi works based on the concept of Subscriptions. Each subscription contains the RSS feeds of your blogs and the keywords to filter the appropriate content. When the subscription is created and activated, the application will automatically follow and inspect the blogs that you specified and fetch only those posts that are relevant to you based on the keywords. Working:
1. Navigate to Blogs.fyi by clicking on the link that we have specified at the end of this article and register for a free account using your Google credentials.
2. You will automatically be navigated to the New Subscription page. Paste the RSS URLs (feeds) of the Blogs that you are interested and the Keywords to display only the content that is relevant to you.
3. If you desire to receive a Notification via Email whenever a relevant article is found, choose the ‘Relevant’ button.
4. Click on Submit and repeat the above procedure for every subscription that you want to create. Blogs.fyi will now start following the blogs and will analyze them to find the posts relevant to you based on your keywords. To view all your subscriptions, click on link ‘My Subscriptions’ at the top of the screen.
5. Next, to view the articles that mention any of the keywords you specified above, click on the ‘Feeds’ tab. You will observe that the articles are arranged in chronological order, and you can click on any one of them to open the post. If you find that the list is empty, you may have to wait for a couple of days till a relevant article is published or you must be able to provide more RSS feeds and keywords.
6. If Email Notification is enabled, an email is sent to your registered email address whenever a relevant article is published that matches any keyword.
