PIP Camera is a free iPhone app to add fun effects to photos. The app provides you a photo-in-photo effect. You can select various frames where you can insert your pictures or your friends. The frames available to select give a effect as if your photo is inside of a photo. Like you would have seen this a lot with Photofunia. For example you will get frames showing a computer screen and the computer screen will have your photo in it. This is what is called photo-in-photo effect.
When you download and open the app up for the first time the app will ask you permission to send you push notifications. You can choose accordingly if you want the app to do that. Then you will come to the main screen of the app, which will look like the screenshot below.
The main screen shows you four tabs; Classic and Frames tabs both show you all frames you can choose from to apply to your photos. The Library tab shows you frames in different categories. These frames are available for free and have to be downloaded to the app if you want to use them. Only the premium section has frames which you need to buy if you want to download from that section. The manage button on the library page, will take you to another screen which will show you all the downloaded frames from different categories. Here you can choose to delete any frames which are not of use to you anymore.
Let’s see how to use this app:
First of all select a frame which you want to use. Then either select a photo from the camera roll or click a picture using your phones camera.
After this you will be taken to a screen where you can choose various effects which can be applied to the photo. In the classic tab the photo effects can be applied to both foreground and background or you can choose one of them also if you want. You can choose from effects like sketch, pole, gorgeous, autumn, old time, serene, etc. Once you are done selecting the effect, you will be taken to the share page where you get options to share your creation on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Line, Tumblr, etc.
The app is ad supported and you might see a prominent ad either at the bottom or top of the page. The last tab of the four shows you app of the day by App Gratis. When you scroll to the next screen again you will see four tabs, out of which three are apps suggested to be tried out. The first tab which says draw, will take you to your photo gallery from where you can choose a picture. Now on this picture you can select areas which you want to be in focus and rest of the image will be blurred out. So select the area of focus and click on the done button at the bottom right corner. This will bring up various effects which you can apply to your photo. Below is a screenshot of what we created using this feature.
The settings option on the top right hand side of your screen will take you to the share settings. Here you can add, delete or change your account settings for Facebook and Twitter or both.
So go ahead create amazing photos by adding these frames and show them off to your friends on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
