Microsoft has recently implemented a Rich Weather Experience to the lock screen of Windows 11, offering dynamic and interactive weather updates through a widget or card. To access more detailed information, simply hover your cursor over the weather card on the lock screen. Moreover, clicking on the weather card and signing in will provide you with the complete forecast through MSN Weather in Microsoft Edge.
The Rich Weather Experience is available in Windows 11 beginning from Build 23612 and has been released only to the Dev Channel insiders. Access to this feature is also limited to some regions and languages. In this article we will explore a method to bypass this limitation with the help of a utility called ViveTool that forcefully enables the feature.
How it Works:
1. Click on this link to download ViveTool from GitHub and extract the contents of the archive to the C:\ViveTool folder.
2. Press the kay combination Win + X on your keyboard and choose Windows Powershell (Admin).
3. Input the command given below and hit ‘Enter’ on your keyboard.
c:\vivetool\vivetool /enable /id:47526873
4. Restart your system to apply the changes.
5. Next, ensure that the Weather option is selected under Settings| Personalization |Lock Screen |Lock screen status and verify that the Rich Weather Experience has now been activated.
6. To disable the Weather widget on the lock screen and the related options in the Settings app, you can run the following command

Although, the Rich Weather Experience is available in Windows 11 only to the Dev Channel insiders and limited to some regions and languages, ViveTool can be downloaded and used to bypass the limitation and force-enable this feature.
