Balloon is a free website to generate the sharing links to automatically receive files to your Dropbox account. People can add any type of file (images, videos, documents, etc.) using the shared link(s). It can come in really handy when you have to receive files from your friends and you want to store those files directly in your Dropbox account.
You can first connect your Dropbox account with this website and then generate sharing links (known as Balloons). After this, you can give the sharing links to your friends and they can send you files which are saved automatically to your Dropbox account.
People don’t have to sign up to use the shared links which is a good thing. Moreover, you don’t have to worry about the file size as users can send large files too, but your Dropbox account must have that much free storage space.

Below mentioned steps will help you to use this website to automatically receive files from senders to your Dropbox account:
Step 1: Open the homepage of this website. Click on LOGIN button. It will prompt you to sign in to your Dropbox account and authorize this website to create folders in your Dropbox account to receive the files.
Step 2: Now you will be able to create a balloon (sharing link) by entering the desired keywords. Make sure all letters are small and there is no space.
Similarly, you can create more and more balloons. You can also edit and delete any sharing link.
Step 3: For every single balloon, a folder is created in your Dropbox account. Now you can share balloons with your friends. They can open those links and drop files from PC to shared page.
Step 4: As soon as the files are dropped, it will start uploading them on your Dropbox account. When all files are uploaded, you can open your Dropbox account and access Apps section. There you will find folders created by this website.
Access those folders and you will find all the files send by the people. That’s it.

The concept of Balloon website is quite similar to IFTTT website (which lets you connect two different services to perform some task, like regularly backup Facebook photos to Dropbox). However, I must say this website is simply great as any kind of file can be added by you or other people to your Dropbox account.
