Here’s a list of 5 free doodle apps for Android which you can use to doodle on your Android powered phones. By occupying kids with doodling, you can get a couple of minutes of peace to do home chores, or to drive without distractions in the back. Pen and paper aren’t always handy, but our smartphones, and in some cases even tablets, almost always are. Setting up a doodling app there can be even more fun and entertaining than pen and paper doodling.
Here’s a list of apps that can help you do just that.
Kids Doodle – Color & Draw
Kids Doodle is a doodle app for kids where you get to create doodles that glow. Controls are available at the bottom of the screen for changing the brush size, color and more.
Canvas is by default black, but you can change it’s color by tapping on the canvas color changer in the bottom left corner of the screen. Created doodles can be saved and then shared via social networks straight from the app.

Magic Doodle
Magic Doodle is a doodle app for Android with a twist. Next to the standard doodling using a brush, it also has symmetrical doodling, to help you create flower-like shapes, like the ones you can see down below.
There’s several different symmetrical doodle patterns that you can use and it’s also possible to change the colors, size of the brush, there’s undo/redo and the doodle creation can be easily shared via social networks or saved to the phone’s gallery.

Doodling by Appoorva
Doodling is a bit more simplistic doodling app which is more suited for adults. It doesn’t have any kind of advanced features like the two previously mentioned doodling apps.
For example, here you have just the white canvas, and doodling doesn’t have a neon glow. Color picker is available, but you will not be able to make changes to the brush itself. Canvas grids can be turned on to help with the drawing. Images can also be cropped.

Picasso – Draw, Paint, Doodle!
Picasso is a great mix of the previously mentioned “neon glow” doodling apps and the simplistic Doodling.
You get neon glow (in the brush effects), but you start with the basic black brush on a white background. Even more useful features are available, like for example smileys and clipart which you can embed into drawings. Existing images can also be loaded from the gallery and edited using this app.

Glow Doodle
Glow Doodle is a simplistic doodle app, where again the main feature is glowing doodles.
You can create doodles, save them, share via social networks, change color, etc. All the controls are easily accessible from the top left vertical toolbar.

Conclusion
I really enjoyed using Picasso from the list above, but all these apps are great at what they do. I like Picasso because it has lots of features. Doodling by Appoorva is also appealing, if you’re looking for something a bit more simplistic and professional looking.
