I think this is not very helpful. And I download another tool to recover lost files from my iphone. You can try bMobiKin iOS Recoveryb, it allows me to recover data from both iTunes backup and iPhone itself.

Yes, you will, just try to use this tool Wondershare Data Recovery for iTunes, firstly, download it and then connect your iPhone to the computer and run the program after installing.

It might depend on what you want to get out of your backups but I used just the ‘free’ version after reading this article and to my surprised due to the comments above I was not forced to pay.

I desperately needed to get some files I lost for HandDBase and WhatsApp when iOS 5 update crapped my iPhone. The site even gave instructions on how to generically get the app data (http:www.iphonebackupextractor.comblog2011may10how-use-ipbe-help-restore-your-app-data-to-iphone), defo worth a look. You do have to pay up if you want to unlock the app for its formatting functionality and multiple file extraction, so do bare this in mind. I was lucky enough to have synced my other data, but if I had lost it too my calendar and contacts are worth quite a lot to me so it probably worth it if needed.

Anyway it did what I needed for, so thanks for the tip 😃

Can I recover text messages that have been deleted from the Iphone 4? I have not synced it since I deleted them. How can I get the info? I will pay the 24.95 to get it. Please email me with instructions on how to proceed.

Dude that is so bulls***. Yea, a ‘FREE’ version - that can extract 4(!) contacts. I don’t need 4, i need 'em all!

@Milind: Please read my comment above about Free vs. Paid version.

The ad is misleading - this software is not free at all.

To back up iPhone data before updating I used the method in the linkURL below; by accessing the root directory and copying the Library>Documents Folder

http:surreystore.comcmsarticles7-apple32-how-to-back-up-data-before-update.html

Worked like a charm!
