TaskBoard is a desktop app and a UI for Google Tasks. It allows you to create and manage your tasks like a project manager does. Basically, you list all your tasks and then change their state like you do on a Kanban Board. Additionally, you can share your tasks list with your team if you want to. Here you can group task lists into boards and does much more!
TaskBoard works online and also comes as a PWA app. You can install it in the browser and create a shortcut to desktop to launch it instantly. You can create multiple boards for different projects and then organize the tasks accordingly.
Free UI for Google Tasks with Kanban Board: TaskBoard
Go to the main TaskBoard website and then create a free account. After that, you will be redirected to the main dashboard that looks like this. You have to sign in using your Google account in order to sync the task list.
Now, the first thing you need to do is set the Kanban Board layout. Create other columns in the way you want. Or, you can also just use the standard names for the Kanban Board.
It is now time to create the tasks list. Add all your tasks in the first column of the board. For each task, you can add a label, attach a file, and set a date as well. You can leave a short note there as well.
Once your tasks list is ready, you can check them in your Google Calendar. All the tasks will be listed there with the correct date and other details.
Come back to the TaskBoard and then start managing all the tasks. Use drag and drop operations to move the task cards around the Kanban board. You can create multiple boards as well and then manage tasks for different projects with ease as well.
This app is just a pretty UI for Google Tasks and are sharing or collaboration options for your tasks lists. You can anytime share your list of tasks with the team and collaborate with them too. This TaskBoard app is Progressive Web App and you can install and use as a desktop as well.
Closing thoughts:
If you are looking for a way to organize your Google Tasks on a board like UI then TaskBoard is a very good option. All you have to do is create a free account and then you are all good to go. I liked the fact that the developer of TaskBoard decided to create this as a PWA that you can install and find it in the Start menu whenever you need it.
