No Chatbot is a Free Google Chrome extension that you can use to block Chatbot popups, Alerts, and Sounds on your Chrome browser. The extension is open source and doesn’t collect any data.
Basically, Chatbot is a program that is designed to simulate and process human conversation enabling us to interact with a digital device in a way that appears as if we are conversing with a real person.
Chatbots are actually intended to enhance customers’ experience on the website and get their questions answered easily and quickly. They are widely implemented on numerous websites (see screenshots below) but many a times the Chatbot popups turn annoying and irritating for users.
No Chatbot attempts to restore your peace of mind while browsing by blocking them as well as preventing sounds and alerts (notifications) from being displayed.
There are no related settings or configuration of any kind. You can simply install the ‘No Chatbot’ Chrome Extension and it immediately starts doing its work of blocking Chatbot Popups and alerts.
‘No Chatbot’ blocks popups from the following Chatbot vendors. You can also contact the developers if you are interesting in blocking a specific vendor not included in this list.
- ADA
- Birdeye
- Drift
- Freshchat
- Intercom
- Mobile Monkey
- Podium
- Qualified
- Zendesk
- Zoho Sales IQ
How it Works:
- Download and Install No Chatbot Chrome Extension from the link provided at the end of this article. No settings or configuration of any sort is required after the installation.
- Navigate to any website that loads a Chatbot Popup and you will find that the Popups and Alerts have been blocked. See the screenshots below and compare one another to find the difference.
Downside:
There is no way that you can customize which website Chatbot Popups you want to block and those that you want to allow. Once you install this Extension, it universally blocks the Chatbots from all websites.
Final Comments:
I installed and tested No Chatbot and found that it really blocks the Chatbot Popups in all those websites which use them. The developers would do better if they could provide some configuration to choose the Chatbots that you want to block so that there is no universal blocking.
