Instead of running in a tab, YoWindow Weather works like an actual extension.
It adds itself to the top right corner “extensions” section from where you can access its worldwide weather updates by clicking on the extension icon. You get the usual, 5 day forecast. Location is again detected automatically, but you can change it later if you wish by right clicking on the extension icon and selecting Options.

What makes it interesting is the fact that there are 3 sources for weather forecasts for you to choose, Yahoo, World Weather Online and YR.no. After first running the extension by left clicking on it from the top right corner you’re asked to select a location. Webcam updates from major cities of the selected city/country are also available, if they can be found of course.
