What I really Liked About Calc4Win Windows 8 Calculator App:
What I loved about this Windows 8 calculator app is its amazing full-screen HD interface. As you open the calculator Windows 8 app, you will see a large calculator separated into two different panels: the regular functions are given at the right side while the advanced functions are given at the left. You will notice a vertical bar between the two panels including a minus (-) sign. As you click on that sign, it will switch to the regular calculator in a full screen mode.
Another thing that I really liked about this calculator app for Windows 8 is its instant answering ability. Yes.. as you type an equation, it will solve it for you, side-by-side. You are not required to click on ‘equal to’ (=) sign, like you normally do in other calculators.
In addition, you can use the ‘Search Charm’ to get a solution. The interesting part is that the calculator app also shows you a message saying ‘’Invalid Number for Expression” in case you entered a wrong or unsolvable equation.

And What I Did Not Like..
Well, it’s very generic. Calc4Win has very normal functions that any other calculator can have. In fact, a good advanced scientific calculator has much more functions than this one. And, you can not use it simultaneously while working. It’s not handy at all. Calculators are used in frequent intervals of time, and not continuously in one go. Since, this Windows 8 calculator app has a full-screen mode, hence you have to switch over to the calculator screen every time you want to solve a math equation, which is very much time-consuming. Moreover, the functions are very regular as mentioned earlier. Now, if you are looking for latest calculator with advanced functions (Like me), then this app is definitely not for you.
But, the developers have mentioned that they will come up with updates for more calculator functions, unit-converters, history feature, graph plotter, currency-converter, and much more. Well, I would definitely look for the updated one as it might meet my needs (towards the app 
How To Switch Between Regular and Scientific Calculator In Calc4Win:
Open the app. You will see a vertical bar between the two panels. The bar also has a minus (-) sign at the center. Click on that minus (-) sign to enjoy the regular calculator.
Now, here in this regular calculator screen, you will find a big plus (+) sign inside the vertical bar. However, this time the bar is at the extreme left of the screen. Clicking on that plus (+) sign will switch you over to the so-called advanced functions.
