Here’s a list of 5 workout trainer apps for Android which can help you get in shape, exercise more and lose weight. Most people would like to lose weight, but they just don’t know how or are lacking proper motivation. Android can be the tool you need to help you at least get started, if not even provide all that’s required to set you on the right track to a healthier lifestyle. Think of the workout trainer apps as personal trainers that you need, but probably can’t afford.
Let’s see what we found in Google Play Store.
Workout Trainer by Skimble
Workout Trainer by Skimble is one of the most popular workout trainer apps out there. The app requires you to register account. Skimble isn’t so much a workout trainer app as it is an entire social network of people trying to get fit.
With the app you get access to exercises, proper diet tips, video instructions, forums with private messaging support and more. Befriend other members of Skimble and give each other support during hard workouts and exercises.

My Coach
My Coach is a workout trainer app that’s a great substitute for gym if your’re unable to go there because you have a busy schedule.
App lets you select between a number of basic exercises that you can do at home, push-ups, sit-ups, squats, pull-ups and so on. The “coach” will guide you through the sets, tell you when you need to rest, perform exercises, etc. It’s a bit harder to figure out how to use the app, but it’s nothing that a couple of minutes of playing around with the app can’t solve.

Push Ups Workout
Push Ups Workout is a workout trainer app that will guide you through workouts, but it focuses on push-ups and only push-ups.
When you run it for the very first time you’re gonna have a “stress test”. You’ll have to do as many push ups as you can so that the app sees in what kind of shape you’re in. After that it will suggest the proper workout scheme, one that will help you do 100 push-ups in a row in no time.

7 Minute Workout
7 Minute Workout is a simple workout app that’s perfect for those who have very little time on their hands. Workouts are only 7 minutes long.
Workout starts right away after running the app. The “coach” even talks to you, telling you when it’s time to switch the exercise. In the 7 minutes that the workout lasts, you switch between 12 different exercises. You’ll need a wall and a chair to complete the workout.

JEFIT Workout Exercise Trainer
JEFIT Workout Exercise Trainer is an app that has a lot of similarities with Skimble workout app, only it’s aimed more at those who are willing to go to the gym.
Exercises available in this app require gym equipment, see image above. Registration is also required because the app has a community (find friends, exchange messages), it keeps statistics, progress, etc.

Conclusion
We (I) personally used Skimble before and I can recommend it anytime to people who are interested in working out. It’s great for both home workouts and workouts at the gym. Other apps, 7 Minute Workouts especially, are also not that bad. Give them all a try and let us know how it went in the comments down below.
