AuthorStream Desktop does not downloads the YouTube videos that you choose to embed. Instead, it adds an object to Powerpoint presentation that refers to the video URL you have selected. To play the YouTube videos that are embedded in your presentations, you will need to be connected to internet.
You can share the Powerpoint presentation embedded with YouTube videos with anyone, and they do not need to have AuthorStream Desktop installed on the system. However, they need to be connected to internet to be able to play YouTube videos.
