TimeYourWeb is a free time tracking Chrome extension to track the time you are spending on different websites. The time tracking process is in real-time, which makes it quite interesting. Whenever you switch from one website to another, it pauses time of the previous website and then starts tracking the time of the active website on Chrome browser. It also stores the record of each individual website. The best part is that it tracks time of different pages of same domain separately. Thus, you will come to know exactly how much time you spent on a particular webpage or website.
This extension provides the details in Summary, Flow, and Stacked View modes. You can switch to any mode easily using the extension pop-up. Also, there is an option to view today’s report, week, and month report. All these are very good features and therefore this extension gives a good competition to many other time tracking extensions.
Above screenshot shows the pop-up of this extension with Summary view mode. You can see the total and active times for different websites and the time percentage stats.
Using This Free Time Tracking Chrome Extension:
This extension doesn’t need any configuration. You can open its homepage and install it. After that, its extension will start tracking the time for the active tab instantly. There is no option to pause the timer.
When you switch to some other tab, it will start tracking the time of newly active tab. To view the report, just click the extension icon. By default, it shows the summary view mode. However, you can switch to Flow view mode using the available icon.
You can also move to Stacked view mode (icon available just next to the Flow view mode). After that, you can view time spent on different websites for a day in a single column.
You can also switch to week and month view to see which sites you visit the most.
The Verdict:
I really like the simplicity of this extension. There is nothing to configure. The installation part is all you have to do from your side. After that, tracking the time spent by you on different websites is stored by the extension automatically. You can also switch to preferred view mode.
