When you open up the app, it will be in the EMI Calculator mode. Now just enter the principle loan amount in the first field of the app. Also you can use the given slider below the loan amount text box to adjust the amount of the principal loan amount. The next step is to enter the rate of the interest that is going to be applied on the loan amount and the last step of the process is entering the loan term; the duration of the loan. This information can be added in years or months whatever suits your needs. Now that you will have filled the form, it will look like as shown in the screenshot below. I have cut the main window into parts so that the interface can be understood more easily.
To get the results you do not have to click on any button, you will be presented with the set of results as shown in the screenshot below on the right side of the app windows. At the top you will be able to see the monthly EMI, total payable interest, total payment. Below these three fields you will be presented with the pie chart that shows the payment breakup.

This is a interesting feature of this EMI calculator for Windows 8; the app allows you to calculate loan affordability. Basically, it lets you find how much loan you can avail based on the amount of EMI that you can afford.
To do so, just enter the EMI that you think you will be able to pay each month, then select the interest rate that will be applied on the loan, and the last thing that you are supposed to enter is the term of the loan. After you have entered the details, you will be presented with amount of loan that you can afford, the total interest that you will have to pay, total payment, and at last a pie chart that displays these details as shown in the screenshot below.
