PublicAPIs is a free online directory of APIs for developers around the world. The website includes more than 5300 APIs of different apps and services. If you are a developer, then it is your one stop shop to search for APIs of different products and services. The app includes built-in search, that makes it easy for you to search for the API you need.
You will find both official and unofficial APIs for different apps and services. The website displays info about each API and a link to API Documentation. You also get the information about any API and report an API if you don’t find it correct.
Using PublicAPIs Online Directory of APIs for Developers:
When you will go to the PublicAPIs homepage, you will see the interface, as shown in the screenshot below. You can see that the home page has a search bar as well as a list of different apps and services whose APIs are available in the directory.
To search for any API, you can either do the manual search or use the search bar. For using the search bar, you have to enter the name of app or service whose API you want. The website displays all the APIs related to that app or service.
Click on the API of your interest from the list to open it. On next page, you will see the brief summary about what that API does. It also includes uploader’s name, tags, sharing services and a link to the API Documentation page.
The API Documentation page will take you to the page from where you can read the documentation of API. The website also has an option called Modify, which lets you modify the information of API. This option lets you edit and modify following API information: API Name, Provider Name, Documentation Link, Image, Tags, and API Description.
When you make changes, they are submitted for the approval, before being reflected on the API page. While searching for any API, the website also displays a list of Related APIs, which might be helpful to you. However, I didn’t find related APIs results that relevant as they should be.

Final Verdict:
PublicAPIs has a good collection of APIs of different apps and services. I tried out the app for different services like Spotify, YouTube, Google Maps, Twitter, etc.. and I was able to find APIs for each of them. What makes this website worth using is that it includes unofficial APIs for some services whose official APIs aren’t available.
