Here’s a list of 5 water drinking reminder apps for Android which you can use to always be reminded to drink water. Drinking plenty of water each day is very important for our health and fitness. Pretty much everyone knows what we’ve been taught since forever that we need to drink at least 2L of water per day. How many of you are actually drinking that much?
Apps from the list down below will make sure that you do.
Hydro Coach – drink water
Hydro Coach is a water drinking reminder app which can be configured very easily and it also lets you register an account so that detailed stats about your hydration are kept.
App automatically calculates your water drinking schedule, based on your info (age, weight, activity level, drinking cup size). Once that everything is setup, you’ll see a countdown which counts down to the next time that the app needs to remind you to drink water. In my case it was 10 times a day (250mml cups), to get the required 2.5L of water that my body needs.

Drinking Water
Drinking Water has a much simpler approach to setting up water drinking reminders. They are showed as cups on the main dashboard.
Use the + button in the top right corner to add new cups to the list. Tap on the first cup from the list will trigger hourly notifications for all the other cups that you setup. When you drink a cup, tap on it and move on to the next one. Tap on the settings button to open settings and access detailed statistics.

Carbodroid
Carbodroid asks you to drink water in order to make their mascot, Carbodroid, happy. Each time that you drink a cup, Carbodroid gets filled up with water.
App sends out reminders every 2 hours by default, but this can be changed in the app settings. You can also change the default cup sizes. Carbodroid’s daily goal required water intake can also be changed from 1.5L to 5L max.

Water Your Body
Water Your Body will also perform the required calculation of how much water we need to drink by taking our weight and activity level into account.
Surprisingly enough I got a different number here than I did in Hydro Coach, 3.5L as opposed to the 2.5L that Hydro Coach gave. This water drinking reminder app will by default notify you about drinking every hour. This can be changed. How many notifications you get depends on the size of the cup that you’ve set in notifications.

Hydro Drink Water
Hydro Drink Water works the same way that Water Your Body and Hydro Coach do. It will make a suggestion on how much water you need to drink based on your daily activity, weight, how warm the day is, etc.
Notifications are scheduled for every hour, starting at 10AM and ending at 6PM. How many times you’re gonna be notified depends on how big the drinking glass from which you drink is.

The three apps that caught my eye the most are Hydro Drink Water, Water Your Body and Hydro Coach. These have everything you’ll need, they calculate the needed water intake, setup is easy. Give them a try and see how it goes.
