TwitterBar is a free Firefox plugin that allows you to post to Twitter directly from your Firefox address bar! Just type your tweet in your Firefox address bar, and click the TwitterBar icon. Your tweet will be immediately published to your Twitter account.
I have reviewed many Twitter applications that are directly integrated in your browser, like, TwitBin, Tweetings, and PowerTwitter. I am very impressed with TwitterBar. It is such a unique idea to post directly from your Firefox address bar to Twitter. This means I don’t have to open any other application, and not waste any screen real estate.
On top of that, TwitterBar comes packed with features, and is still simple to use.
Supports Multiple Twitter Accounts
TwitterBar also lets you use multiple Twitter accounts. You can specify a default Twitter account to post to whenever you tweet.
If you have not specified a default Twitter account, you will be prompted to select the Twitter account to which you want to post to.
Search Twitter from Firefox Address Bar
TwitterBar also lets you search Twitter directly from Firefox address bar. Just type your search term, and add –search at end of it to search Twitter.
Tell your Followers which Website are you Browsing
If you want to tell your followers which website are you browsing, you can just click the TwitterBar icon, and it will post the URL of website to Twitter.
TwitterBar comes with built-in URL shortener that will shorten the URLs before sending it to Twitter.
I really like TwitterBar. Its a great idea, and very well executed. Love it!
