Glarity is a free browser extension that you can use in all the popular browsers to summarize text on the web. It can summarize online articles, YouTube videos, and more. But in this post, I will talk about its ability to summarize Quora answers and Yelp reviews. You can activate tis extension on these two websites and it will generate a comprehensive summary for you instantly.
This extension, Glarity basically uses your ChatGPT account to summarize the text. Or, you can also use your OpenAPI key to do the same thing. The developer of this extension has made it to work on a lot of supported sites. But to me the most useful ones are Quora and Yelp as I use them a lot. With this, you don’t have to go through long answers and reviews to reach a conclusion.
Summarize Quora Answers and Yelp Reviews with this free Extension
Glarity is available for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Opera. You can go ahead and then download it for your browser and start using it. There is no additional account creation or sign required to use it. Once you install it, it will ask you whether you want to use your logged in ChatGPT account or OpenAI API. If you choose OpenAI, then you will have to paste your API key there.
Now, go to any Quora answer and open it. You will see the floating icon of Glarity there. Just click on it and in a popup, select the summary option. It will take a few seconds and will generate summary of the answer for you. This is as simple as that.
In the exact same way, you can use it on Yelp. Just open any cafe or restaurant page. Click on the popup icon in the side and then let it do its work. Again, in the popup, it will generate the summary of the reviews. You can read and analyze the summary and then you can make your decision.
You can now keep using it in the same way on other Quora answers and Yelp pages. Also, you can try some other websites as well that it supports such as Hacker News, Google Search, GitHub, YouTube, and some others.
The popup that it shows the summaries text in is draggable. You can place that anywhere on the webpage and even continue the chat to ask questions and answers.
