How to Create Photobook from Facebook, Instagram Photos:
Pastbook is simply a ‘click and voilà’ free online photobook service. All you have to do is go to its main page and click ‘Start Now’. This gets you started and on the next page, you can choose the source of the photos that you want to include in your photobook.
You can choose from different sources simultaneously. For this demonstration, I am going to use my Facebook photos, but there are many other supported websites, as you can see in the screenshot below.
You can enjoy a montage of your Facebook pictures while the screen loads. In fact, if you get the idea of making one, you can try these collage/montage makers.
When I selected Facebook as the source for all the photos I wanted to add, I was prompted with the option to choose a specific year or a specific month from which pastbook would fetch the photos from. Other than that, I could also add a custom timeframe of the Facebook photos where the photos would be fetched from. This feature is very useful when you want to focus on a specific time in you Facebook timeline (say the month of December maybe? Christmas and New Year celebrations!) rather than the whole set.
After Pastbook has finished loading your pictures in a photobook, you get various options. You can customize your photos, add more pictures, see a preview and share it with your friends. At the customizing tab, you can edit the page color, page title, page description, delete photos, upload photos, and rearrange them.
After you have finished arranging your photobook, you can share it with your friends on Facebook or Twitter. It also offers you an option to print the photo book, but that is a paid feature.
Conclusion
Pastbook is a really simple online photobook making website. It doesn’t have much to offer but gets the basic job done. It could have been made way better from what I see. The developers could have added features like putting filters on the photos, crop, edit, stickers, etc like most of the photobook services out there have. I honestly didn’t feel that I was browsing a virtual photobook, as the interface was not that engaging. Though if you want a simple online photobook service just to share your pictures casually, then I suggest you go for it. And of course, the feature to get photos from Facebook, Twitter, and other social sites is definitely a big plus.
