SkillPress is a Free Website that you can use to learn Javascript online, free of cost using Spaced Repetition Technique.
This is an evidence-based learning strategy and memory technique where there is a frequent review of lessons at increasing intervals to ensure that the learner doesn’t forget the important topics and chapters. Spaced Repetition not only helps to boost your learning process but also enables to fill in the learning gaps till the training material is fully remembered and understood.
SkillPress offers Premium Content too that can be unlocked by a payment of $2.5 per month billed yearly.
How it Works:
1. Navigate to the SkillPress JavaScript Course using the link provided at the end of this article.
2. Read the Question carefully, type the Answer (missing word) in the space provided and click Submit. Not all the questions are Fill in the Blanks. Some of the Questions require you to correct or modify some code in the console that is made available.
3. In case the Answer is wrong, the correct one will be provided and the next Question will be displayed. In case the Answer is correct, it will be indicated with a Green tick and the next Question will be offered for you to attempt. A horizontal progress bar at the topic of the screen gives you and idea of how much of the course has been completed and how much of it is left.
4. After each answer is verified, you can click on ‘Explore’ to learn more.
5. Click on Home -> Topics -> JavaScript to find out your Progress so far. Next, you can click on ‘Intro’ and then ‘Modules’ to find out the Progress based on the Modules that you have completed.
6. After the session is complete, you are provided the option of studying once again using the same technique.
Drawbacks:
The design of the website is pretty rudimentary and requires a lot of aesthetics and improvement.
