Gooru is a free website which helps educators find content for students depending on their age and subject. Educators or teachers are always on the lookout for ways to help their students out by making learning easier and fun. On the same line this website, helps educators find related content for their students. This content can be browsed by selecting the grade as well as a specific subject. For example, you can look for content for elementary class 2 and subject science easily by selecting your choices through a dropbox.
When you start with the website, you will find a screen like the one shown in the screenshot below. Here you can select the grade for which you need content and the subject you need it for. Then click on the browse content button.
This will bring up all the content the website has on that particular subject. Like I searched for grade 6 science subject and below screenshot shows that results which came up.
Now the content which shows up can be browsed according to what you are looking for. Each lesson tile shows you how many resources and questions there are in that particular topic. You are also allowed to click the remix button and customize the topic according to your own need. At the left top of a tile you will be able to see how many remixes of this topic have been created. For creating a remix you would be required to sign in to the website.
Signing in to the website also lets you save your progress if you were going through a topic. A collection or topic can have resources like videos, files, etc. to go through, and questions for assessment in between. Collection can also be comprised of resources only or questions only.
Once you sign in with the website, you will be able to create your own content, classes and even assess students based on their performance. Inside the content tab you can create lessons and units to keep everything organized.
For remixing a particular collection, you are first required to add it to my contents sections. Once added you can easily edit the collection according to your need. This editing feature can be seen in the screenshot above.

This website is useful for both educators and students. Educators can find content to help out their students and students can find content to learn new things on their own. Overall its a pretty useful website, with a huge collection of content on various topics. The browsing is pretty easy as well, just select the subject and the grade and get content you are looking for. If you are a educator, then this website is definitely worth giving a try.
