Sneaksy is a freeware to hide folders, files, and lets you set a password of your choice to get back hidden files and folders. It basically provides a folder named as ‘Files‘ in which you can store those items which you want to hide. Any music files, text files, folders (including sub-folders), videos, etc. can be stored to hide and protect from unauthorized persons.
Sneaksy is a bit different than some other software to hide folders. It is so because it doesn’t provide any kind of interface. You simply have to run its application file and provide a password of your choice. After that, it will show you ‘Files’ folder in which you can put files and folders. How To Use This Freeware To Hide Folders and Files?
As mentioned earlier, it doesn’t provide any interface. You need to run its application file. If its application will not run by double-clicking, then ‘run it as administrator‘. After running its application file, it will provide a box on top left corner of your PC just like it is visible in above screenshot. Here, you need to provide a password of your choice and press enter. Immediately after this, it will provide you a folder named as ‘Files’.
Put all the stuff in ‘Files’ folder that you want to hide. After this, hit the red button (as highlighted in circle in below screenshot) to hide this folder.
Now your files and folders are secure. And whenever you want to get back hidden files and folders, simply run Sneaksy and provide the same password. With a short delay, you will find the same ‘Files’ folder containing all your items.
Note: Sneaksy can hide files and folders in different locations like C drive, D drive etc. It will create ‘Files’ folder for each location where its main application will be placed and run by you. For example, if you will keep and run its application file on desktop, then it will create ‘Files’ folder on desktop.
