Baseliner is a free Chrome Extension to add grid lines guides on a website. You can set these grid lines for different webpages differently. It basically adds grid lines on websites as a guidance for developing its interface. It allows you to set the distance between the grid lines according to your need. You can even set the starting point of grid lines from the top. It also allows to set the opacity of the grid lines and set the color of the color of these grid lines.
This Chrome Extension is basically for web designers and developers, who like to keep things linear, while developing the interface.
How to Add Grid Lines To Websites for Designing:
Baseline is a very useful website to add grid lines on websites to help designers keep things linear while developing the interface.
You can start by adding this Chrome Extension from the Chrome Web Store (use link available at the end of this review). An icon of Baseliner appears in the toolbar as soon as you add the extension. Then you just need to open the website where you want to overlay these grid lines. After opening the website you need to click on the toolbar icon to open a small popup. This popup has only 4 options. These options are for configuring Color, Header, Gap between lines, and Opacity of lines. These options are very easy to configure; you just need to click on them and configure them according to your need.
When you click on the Color option, a small popup containing all the colors appear from where you can easily choose any color for the lines.
You can simply configure the other three options by changing the value of Pixels or Percentage on these options. You can either increase or decrease them one by one or you can directly enter the preferable value.
You can use Apply button to apply these grid lines and Remove button to remove these line from the website.
