PicMarkr is a free website that lets you watermark your images online. To watermark your images, you don’t need to download or install anything. Everything is done online, and the process is extremely simple, and completely free. You can add text watermarks, images as watermarks, and even tiled watermarks.
Watermarking your images help in many ways. First of all, it lets everyone knows that images belong to you. Secondly, if anyone uses your images, your watermark would be visible on them. So, that’s a free publicity for you. And lastly, you can watermark your images to just add some information to pictures (like, where were they taken).
There are many free software available to watermark your images, but I really liked PicMarkr because of its ease of use, and verstality of the options offered.
Watermarking your pictures with PicMarkr is essentially a 3 step process:
1) Upload your Photos: You can upload photos to PicMarkr from your computer, or you can pull images directly from Flickr, Picase, or even Facebook! PicMarkr allows you to upload up to 5 images at a time, with total image size not exceeding 25MB.
2) Apply Watermark: Once you have uploaded your images to PicMarkr, you can select the type of Watermark that you want to add to your images. I will get into more details about this later.
3) Download Images: Once you have added watermark to your images, you can download them to your computer. PicMarkr also gives you option to upload watermarked images directly to your Flickr, Picasa or Facebook account. Really cool!
Now, coming to the type of watermarks that you can apply with PicMarkr.
PicMarkr lets you apply 3 type of watermarks:
Text Watermark: To apply a text watermark to your images, you can select any text that you want. PicMarkr gives you multiple preset options regarding color and position of the text.
Image Watermark: Image Watermark option lets you specify an image that you want to apply as watermark. You can choose your logo that you can watermark on all the images. Presets let you specify position of watermark over your picture.
Tiled Watermarks: Tiled Watermark lets you have tiles of your watermark all over the image. You can specify either a text to be used as a tile, or you can specify a picture for that.
I tried PicMarkr with a few of my images, and it worked really well. The whole process is really easy, and very fast. It didn’t work too well in Chrome, but worked flawlessly in Firefox and IE. I really liked this website. Try watermarking your images free here.
