Depop is a free iPhone app which lets you to buy and sell anything online. You can sell anything on the app by just posting a photo of it. The app lets you chat with the users via private messages to discuss the details of the item to be sold or purchased. You can bookmark the products that you would like to buy later.
The app lets you to follow other users, like and comment on the products posted by others. The app is integrated with PayPal for a smooth money transfer. You can also share the product you want to sell or buy via Facebook and Twitter.
Selling Products Using Depop App For iPhone:
If you are interested in downloading the Depop app, then you can do so either from iTunes App Store or by clicking on the link given at the end of this review. The app requires you to have an account with it before you can use it. You can get an account with the app easily either using Facebook or registering via a form.
If you have chosen Facebook for the registration, then app displays a preview of the info that it has fetched from your Facebook profile. You can edit it if you want or simply tap on Done to complete the registration process.
The home screen of the app looks like the one shown in the screenshot above. Here you can see that there are 5 options: Home, Explore, Sell, Activity, and Profile. If you want to sell anything on the website, then tap on the Sell option. The app will ask you whether you want to click a fresh picture of the product or you want to use an existing one. Choose the option according to your preference. If you are clicking a new photo, the app also lets you add a few filters to the photo to make it look more attractive.
After clicking or importing the photo of the product, you have to fill the details about the product. The details includes description of product, price at which you want to sell, delivery method, and payment method.
While writing the description of the product, you can also includes hashtags related to the products. The hashtags makes it easier for other users to search your product. In the delivery method, you have to select that whether you will ship the product or you will meet in person for the delivery. In case, you have chosen the shipping method then you have to mention the shipping charges you may charge and also that whether you will ship the product globally or only in your country.
After filling all these details, you can choose to share the details on Facebook and Twitter too, but that’s optional. If you don’t want to share the details, then simply tap on Publish tab and wait for some buyer to contact you regarding your product.
Other Options Of Depop App For iPhone:
Here, I am explaining the other four options of the app below in order of their appearance on the bottom menu bar.
- Home: It is the home screen of the app. You can check all the latest products on the app that are available for buying. You can like, comment, bookmark, and buy them from here. You can also follow and contact the user from here.
- Explore: This option is similar to the Home option but only difference is that you will find only those products here which are selected as Featured Products by the developers. You can search for products using the search bar at the top.
- Activity: You can check the activities done by those users which are followed by you.
- Profile: Check and manage your account from here. Some of the things that you check are: Notifications, Private Messages, Sold Items, Purchased Items, Bookmarks, etc.
