The Dash is a free website to create dashboards online and share them. The website lets you create custom dashboards as per your preference. It’s a simple website where you have to click on the widget you want to use, enter the required details, and that’s it. There is no need of technical or coding knowledge, just drag & drop. You can choose to make your dashboard look awesome and unique by adding image, textbox, clock, temperature, shapes, social feeds, RSS Feeds, website analytics, etc.. and much much more.
If you are DIY type guy, then you can also add custom widgets to your dashboard. Some of the custom widgets are: Custom Chart, Custom Table, Custom Speedometer, Basic Value, Custom Leaderboard, etc.. Using This Free Website to Create Dashboards:
You need to sign-up with The Dash website by providing your email address. After registration, you can start creating your first dashboard. For creating any dashboard, you first need to give it a name and choose its category. The available categories are as follows: Tech, Gaming, Business, Politics, Sports, Foods, Transports, and Misc.. You also have to choose whether you want to keep your dashboard as Public or Private.
After mentioning the details, you will be redirected to editing area known as Builder. You can see that there is Blue colored option at top left corner. Click on the option to get a list of all widgets which you can add to your dashboard. For adding any widget, you only need to go to that specific widget name and then click on it. You will get the options relevant to that widget. Each of the widget has its own specific set of options which you need to fill up for using them.
For example, you can see that I have shown the options you need to fill for adding Weather widget. You first have to select Weather option from the provided list of widgets. Now, you just need to fill location name and set the temperature unit. You can see the preview of widget on right side. If you like the widget then click on Done option. Your widget will be added to your dashboard.
You can also choose the position and size of any widget after adding it. Simply click on particular widget and move it by click and holding to adjust the position. For the resizing of widget, you simply need to click it from corner and stretch or shrink it. You can also press Delete key on keyboard to remove any widget.
When you have finished your dashboard, click on Done button to save it. Now, you can see three options at top right side: Share, Settings, and Full Screen.
- Share: Use it to share your dashboard via email, Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Pinterest, and Tumblr.
- Settings: It lets you adjust name of dashboard, category, and privacy options.
- Full Screen: As names suggests, its for viewing your dashboard in full screen mode.
