Longform is a free iPad reader app which includes articles from all the top websites, blogs, and news sources. You will find news from all the categories, ranging from Books, Business, Design, Tech, Sports, World, Gaming, History, and many more categories. All the articles added to the app are available for offline reading and you can choose to follow your favorite website, blog, and news source.
The feature which makes this app better than other reader apps is that you can also follow your favorite writers. The app reminds you about the published articles written by any of your favorite writers. You can bookmark articles, mark favorite, recommend to others, and even share it with others.
Using this iPad Reader App with Offline Reading:
Even though you can use this app without creating a free account, but creating a free account helps in using all the features of this app./ You can get an account by filling a simple form. When you have got yourself registered with the app, you will see the interface of the app as shown in the screenshot above.
Here, you can see all those publications and writers which are recommended by Longform staff. You can go through them. If you want to browse the list as per the category, then you have to tap on the hamburger icon at top left corner.
You can also tap on any writer’s or any publication’s name to view all the info about it. It also displays the list of recently published articles related to that writer or publication. If you want to follow them, then tap on the Follow button.
When you have followed a few writers/publications, then tap on the Following section to go to your feed. Here, you will see the list of all the articles published by them.
Tap on any article to read it. While reading any article, you will find two options: Web and Read. The Web view is for reading the article in its web version.
If you want to read it in a distraction-free mode, then you need to tap on Read option. Here, you can also adjust font style (Serif/Sans), font size, theme, and brightness. The options for adding a bookmark, recommending an article, and sharing the article, are available next to font options.

Longform is an awesome iPad reader app with offline functionality, a wide range of categories, publications, and writers. I really loved the feature of following your favorite writers, which means I can keep in touch with my favorite writers about what they write and when.
