Out of the whole truckload of goodies that Windows 10 comes with, accessibility features are especially useful, as they make using the powerhouse operating system even easier. These include stuff like screen magnifier, narrator, and of course, keyboard shortcuts. Particularly the keyboard shortcuts can be used to easily navigate major program options and menus. However, using them regularly can also cause certain important settings to be inadvertently turned on/off. And this can be quite annoying, right?
Not a problem, as Windows 10 includes options for triggering audio-visual alerts and notifications when system settings are enabled via keyboard shortcuts. Intrigued? Let’s find out how you can generate notifications when enabling settings with shortcuts in Windows 10.
How To Generate Notifications When Enabling Settings With Shortcuts In Windows 10?
It’s pretty easy to have Windows 10 generate notifications when certain settings are enabled using keyboard shortcuts. And these notifications include both warning messages, as well as sound alerts. Here’s how to enable these notifications in Windows 10, courtesy of a nice laid out illustrative walk-through:
Step 1: Launch the modern style Settings app, and click on the Ease of Access sub-category.
Step 2: The left column should now display a couple of options. Click on Keyboard, and move to the right. Finally, jump to the Other Settings sub-section, and turn the virtual toggles corresponding to the two options – Display a warning message when turning a setting on with a shortcut and Make a sound when turning a setting on or off with a shortcut to On. Check out the screenshot below:
That’s it. From now on, Windows 10 will always generate visual warning prompts and sound alerts whenever system settings are enabled via keyboard shortcuts. How cool is that?
