Some of these Windows 10 apps can even specifically state the type of color blindness diagnosed. I have included some advanced apps which have multiple color vision tests, like, Snellen Eye test, Ishihara Color Vision test, etc. There are some Windows 10 games in my list as well from which you can quickly test your eye visions. However, these Windows 10 eye games don’t specifically state the type of color vision deficiency, but you can get an idea of up to which extent your eyes can distinguish between colors.
I would like to mention that these apps can’t be considered as a replacement of standard eye tests in a hospital. These Windows 10 eye test apps are just intended to make you aware that if your eye vision is normal or not. If you see any negative report in any of the eye test apps then you should verify it from your nearby doctor.
These Windows 10 eye test apps are quite basic as compared to some of the Android apps and iPhone apps to check for color blindness. But, these Windows 10 apps will surely give you a quick idea about your eye vision. Color Vision Test AS:
Color Vision Test AS is a free Windows 10 app to test color blindness on PC. From this app, you can take the Ishihara test to check if you have any types of eye color vision impairment. This Windows 10 app can specifically tell you the exact type of the color blindness i.e. deuteranomaly, tritanomaly, etc.
As you can see in the screenshot above, this eye test Windows 10 app specifically states the type of the color blindness and other details related to it. However, in its free edition, it doesn’t reveal much of the eye test details like the number of correct and wrong answers, correct proportion, and test timing details.
In the Ishihara test of this app, you have to identify a shape on the Ishihara color plate. The shape can be a square, circle, triangle, and star. You have to select a shape from the options and if you didn’t identify any shape on an Ishihara color plate then select the “?” option. Another good aspect of this Ishihara test is that unlike some of the other apps to check color blindness, it dynamically generates an Ishihara color plate. In addition to that, you can test your eye color vision on any number of color plates. The process to take the test is quite simple; you have to identify the shape on an Ishihara color plate and select the shape from the options. After you have selected an option, it shows the correct option (if guessed wrong) and move to the next question. This test will go on and on until and unless you decide to end the test. To end the test and see the test report, click on the “Right arrow” button. After that, it displays whether you have any color vision impairments. Check Your Eyes:
Check Your Eyes is another free Windows 10 app to check color blindness. You can test your eyes with 3 different types of check visual acuity, color vision impairments, and macular degeneration. However, these eye tests are not interactive, and you will have to do all the diagnosis part yourself. To see if you have any visual color impairments or not, you can take the Ishihara Color Vision test. Select the Ishihara Color Vision Test from its main screen and then the app shows the test details and how to diagnose color blindness with this test, on the left part of the screen. On the right part of the screen, you will see an Ishihara color plate and its description. In its description, it is clearly mentioned how a person with normal vision and the person with any color deficiency syndrome will perceive that color plate. I would suggest you to identify the number on the color plate first and then read its description. There are 10-12 Ishihara color plates on which you can test your eyes.
Apart from that, you can also take the Snellen Eye Test to check for visual acuity and Amsler Grid Test to check for macular degeneration. You have to simply select any of the tests and the app will then show you the test details and how you can conduct it at your end. Similar to the Ishihara Color Vision Test, you will have to diagnose or judge your eye vision at your end.

Color Vision is a free Windows 10 game to test color vision. In this eye test Windows 10 game, you will see a number of different squares of the same color. You have to spot the square with a slightly different color, which is very difficult for any person with visual impairments. The game is pretty simple, you will see a number of square blocks and you have to spot the odd square block with a slightly different color from other blocks. You will get 15 seconds to spot the odd square block and if you select the wrong square block then the game will be over. After the game is over, it shows a simple message about the color eye vision, as you can see in the screenshot above.
Designer Color Test:
Designer Color Test is another free Windows 10 game to check eye color vision. This game is quite similar to the previous one on my list. You have to select a square of slightly different color from a group of squares of similar color. As per your correct answers, the difficulty level of the game increases and you will see more number of square blocks to spot the odd square block from. For each set of blocks, you will get 15 seconds and if you select the wrong block then the time reduces. If you select the correct square block, then the game instantly shows the next set of square blocks. You earn points for each correct answer and if you fail to spot the odd color square block within the time limit then the game is finished. As per your points, your eye visibility level is depicted by the animals below the square blocks. So, check out this game and see on which animal’s visibility level you can finish :)
