Silhouette Studio is an application that is used to design Greeting cards, Party decorations, Stickers, Etched Glass projects and more and send them for cutting to Electronic Cutting machines like the Silhouette Cameo.
The projects are stored in files that are called Studio Files. They contain the design which may include shapes, images, effects, gradients and more.
In this article, we will discuss how to convert these Silhouette Studio files to SVG format. SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) is an image format for 2 dimensional graphics based on vector data unlike Raster Graphics like PNG and JPG that depend on pixels to form the image. It is due to this reasons that SVG images can be scaled to very high resolution.

The Silhouette Studio Converts records the IP address of the system that you use to access and limits the number of conversions to 10 per IP address. The size of the Studio file should not be greater than 30 Mb.

Silhouette Studio comes in three editions viz, Basic, Designer and Business Edition. Basic Edition is freely available for download while the others are paid. The Designer and Business Editions of Silhouette offer native support to save the Studio Files in SVG format and do not require this conversion tool.
